Voltaire’s Wood, home to Oak & Ash & Thorn

Lisa Lavery - @lavery.lisa - messaged us to ask whether she could come and stay in the woods ovrernight to capture the changing of the seasons in the golden hours. Below are the initial photographs from a stay in August, experimenting with filters and treatments of the images. Among the images are a copper beach and one our veteran trees, a beech known as The Witch.

She says: “the project explores themes of ancient woodland, time, and wellbeing, specifically how time spent immersed in these spaces can reconnect us with stillness and the slow rhythm of seasonal change.”
