The nature of the camp

A perfect hideout in the middle of the woods, down some grassy stairs and into a clearing in ancient woodland.

The large A-frame forms the core of this space, with bench seating around a central firepit with a grill and kettle and an off-grid sink nearby.

The camp is in an alley of ancient trees - chestnut and yew. There’s space to run around or lounge about. Go explore the lightning struck beech or find your way to the stream that emerges from under the roots of a tree.

The camp is also a short walk down to the local pub, The Weighbridge Inn.

It is best suited to weekending family groups of six or more who can park their cars a few steps up from the campsite and who are looking for a base to explore the Cotswolds. For smaller groups, the Bushcrafter sites will be more economical.

Getting there

This camp is a drive-to camp with two dedicated parking spaces. Extra cars can be parked at the woodyard which is a ten minute walk away. We will drive your kit up to the camp while you enjoy an easy stroll through the woods. The camping manager will be on hand for portering to and fro during your stay.

Pricing

Base camp price + attendee

Base Camp: £250

We charge a flat fee for the use of the camp over a weekend, either day hire or over weekend. This includes 2 acres of private space, firewood, water, help with set-up and an on-call manager for your group.

Attendees: £25 per attendee

£25 per adult for the whole weekend, either as a day visitor or camping. Children up to 18 are £12.50. This covers parking and portering and, if desired, camping. There is a maximum of 12 people total.
